Alina Sukach
Alina Sukach is a Ukrainian artist based in Toronto, Canada. Alina’s passion for visual arts has grown since she started to learn more about different properties of colour and methods of compositing a picture while working in digital intermediate industry (digital colour grading) and later the feature film visual effects industry.
Alina has been experimenting with different styles of digital art, as well as drawing and painting for six years. About two years ago she found herself fully fascinated by abstract expressionism.
When painting Alina reflects on her recent experiences and impressions, communicating them through colours, contrasts, dynamics and shapes. In her process she mainly uses acrylics and oil pastels. Alina draws her inspiration from music, visual artists and nature. She treats every painting session as a journal entry and attempts to be as honest as possible.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Most of my inspiration comes from being alone with my own thoughts, sometimes being fully present and sometimes falling into daydreams.
I hope that these paintings will inspire you to indulge in your own magical daydreams.
