Specializing in both digital illustration and painting, Galvez explores the "remembrance of the Self" by mapping the intricate interconnections between all of creation and Spirit.\r
\r
Rooted in her Mexican heritage and informed by a disciplined practice of prayer and meditation, her compositions translate deeply personal experiences into a universal visual language. With a robust background in art education and years of classroom experience, Galvez’s practice is inherently communal; she currently balances her studio work with teaching meditation and painting classes. Her work has been exhibited extensively across Southern California and in community pop-up markets, reflecting her commitment to using art as a vehicle for higher consciousness and global human connection.

Acrylic, microbead, dry leaf on canvas.

22x28"

In some native cultures, the hummingbird represents a reminder of our ancestors or loved ones whom have passed away. The planting together of these three was very powerful as the corn stalk would hold the vine of the bean. The squash plant would spread over the soil to protect it from overheating and prevent weeds from growing. In my interpretation, I used women since women are the birth givers and the fruitful "soil" for human beings. They are adorned with indigenous attire inspired by my Mexican culture where much of the clothes is hadn embroidered. They clothing also represents a very important role as women.
