Combining acrylic paint, metallic finishes, geometric elements, and symbolic surface treatments, Angel creates works that exist between sculpture, painting, and narrative storytelling. Through a developing body of interconnected works, the artist investigates themes of fracture, renewal, identity, and light, inviting viewers into a world where adversity becomes strength and transformation becomes visible. Angel's work has been exhibited in regional exhibitions across North Carolina and continues to evolve through an expanding sculptural universe known as The Geometric Union.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eARTIST’S STATEMENT\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eMy work begins with the mannequin, an object I view as a non-entity, a form without identity, history, or life. Through paint, geometry, color, and symbolism, I transform these empty forms into monumental sculptural figures that embody the human journey.\r\u003cbr\u003eMuch of my work exists within The Geometric Union, an evolving universe of interconnected characters and narratives. Within this world, geometric shapes and pathways symbolize the different journeys we travel through life. Some paths are long and complex, while others are short and direct, but each plays a role in shaping who we become.\r\u003cbr\u003eThe lines that move across my figures represent the journey of life itself. They reflect the experiences, decisions, obstacles, and moments that define our path. Color serves as an emotional language throughout my work. Darker tones represent life's hardships, struggles, and periods of uncertainty, while vibrant colors symbolize joy, growth, hope, and the blessings discovered along the way.\r\u003cbr\u003eBy breathing life into forms that once stood empty and anonymous, I explore themes of resilience, transformation, identity, and renewal.
