Her practice is inspired by the visual energy of cities, street culture, automobiles, architecture, and coastal environments, often combining bold color, unconventional materials, and familiar objects in unexpected ways.\r
\r
Morrell’s work has been featured through collaborations with brands including Oreo, BuzzFeed, Jacquard, and Duolingo, and has appeared in exhibitions and publications across the United States. She is also the artist behind The 375 Project, a five-year body of work consisting of more than 375 individually hand-painted paintings on a Jean Jacket.\r
\r
Through City Stream Art, Morrell continues to blur the boundaries between fine art, fashion, design, and everyday objects, creating work that is energetic, accessible, and rooted in contemporary culture.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My work explores the intersection of art, movement, environment, and everyday culture. I am drawn to the visual language of cities—architecture, cars, street markings, graffiti, signage, clothing, and objects that often disappear into the background of daily life. I also pull inspiration from coastal environments, color, and the constant movement between places.\r
\r
Rather than limiting my practice to a single medium, I work across painting, sculpture, ceramics, clothing, and functional objects. I enjoy taking recognizable forms and changing their context, whether that means transforming a thrifted garment into a one-of-one artwork, turning an ordinary object into a sculpture, or bringing imagery associated with the street into a gallery setting.\r
\r
A recurring idea throughout my work is transformation. I am interested in how an object can carry a history, be altered by an artist, and become something entirely new while still retaining traces of what it was before.\r
\r
Ultimately, I want my work to feel alive, immediate, and connected to the world outside traditional art spaces. My multidisciplinary approach allows art to move between walls, streets, bodies, homes, and public spaces rather than existing in only one place.

Acrylic on canvas.

30x15x1"

A detailed sports car cuts through a field of saturated color against a deep black background.
