Jason Rainville is an artist and musician living in Toronto with his wife and daughters. His experience in the music industry spans multiple decades. He’s been a guitar technician for the up and coming pop artist, Francesco Yates, played lead guitar for thousands in a pop-rock band, and has screamed his guts out as lead vocalist in a metal/hardcore band.
Jason’s art style is raw and visceral, evocative of his days as metal vocalist. The emotions at the core of his painting is immediately apparent in every piece. Working with abstract forms allows Jason to imbue his work with pure concepts and symbolism. His work provokes thoughts and emotions from his audience without the distraction of a narrative component.
While music will always be a passion, Jason is called to the deeply personal creative process he finds in painting.
