Her love of the prairies and her connection with its landscapes is depicted through atmospheric expressions and lively colour palettes.  Her subject matter portrayal is influenced by colour, texture and\r\u003cbr\u003emovement in order to elicit the viewer’s emotions.  Leanne believes this is accomplished not by what you see but how you see. Memory and perception play a big role in this endeavour.  Therefore, Leanne considers herself to be an Impressionistic artist who enjoys shifting light while pleine aire painting as often as she can.\r\u003cbr\u003eHolding a BA in Fine Art, Psychology and Crime and Community from the U of A - Augustana, Leanne has also studied Visual communications and Fine Art in Medicine Hat College, Fashion Design at Blanche Macdonald Institute in Vancouver and most recently completed a B.Ed degree in Secondary Education majoring in Fine Art and minoring in Psychology.
