After years of mourning the loss of her father, she began painting watercolor at night with the encouragement of her husband. That personal practice grew into a self-taught journey into acrylic painting and large-scale public art. She was awarded the Bergen County Arts Grant to create a community mural in the Fairview Public Library, later returning to redesign the children’s section. She has since completed Phase 1 of the Fort Lee Public Library renovation with six murals in their new media space.
