Known for his acclaimed Vanity Pop and Legends Only series, his work explores beauty, identity, and the Black experience through vibrant, collage-style portraiture that bridges fine art and pop culture.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eBefore transitioning fully into visual art, Vakseen built an award-winning career in music, contributing to diamond and multi-platinum records, Billboard #1 albums, and critically acclaimed releases. His artwork has been exhibited by Adidas, Vans, the African American Museum of Dallas, WMOCA, MOCA Cleveland, and the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, and featured by Nike, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Forbes, Architectural Digest, American Art Collector, and The History Channel. I create vibrant, layered paintings that invite reflection on self-worth, visibility, and transformation, while celebrating the complexity, beauty, and power of lived experience.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eCentral to my practice is a commitment to honoring the Black experience and expanding how Black life, beauty, and identity are seen and valued.
