His work centres the human figure — bodies in transformation, in transit, and in negotiation with the spaces they move through. Trained in classical painting at Cozinha da Pintura in São Paulo, he builds his images through layering and bold graphic clarity, drawing on portraiture, cultural memory, and the experience of migration.\r
His video work has screened internationally, including commissions for Sony Europe (2009) and the National Arts Council of Brazil (2020). Recent Toronto exhibitions include Beyond the Contour (The Show Gallery, 2026) and Archive of Unstoppable Bodies (Pride Toronto, CF Toronto Eaton Centre, 2026). He lives and works in Toronto.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I paint the body as something always in motion — shaped by where it came from, where it's going, and who is looking. My work is figurative and direct: faces and bodies built up in layers of oil and mixed media, where colour and line carry as much meaning as the subject itself.\r
As a Brazilian artist living in Toronto, migration is not a backdrop in my work — it is the structure. I'm interested in how identity holds together, and comes apart, across languages, cultures, and bodies. Each painting is a record of someone existing fully, on their own terms.\r
I want the work to be encountered, not just observed — to bring presence, colour, and a charge of transformation into the space it lives in.
