His artistic journey began at Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where he received a Higher National Diploma in Painting in 1998.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eOver the years, Sylvester has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Nigeria and a group exhibition in Vancouver BC, Canada. \r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eIn 2026, he participated in Art Vancouver Contemporary Art Fair. \r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eHis recent group exhibitions include: \r\u003cbr\u003e“October Rain” (Lagos, Nigeria 2023)\r\u003cbr\u003e“Woven Imaginations” (Lagos, Nigeria 2024) \r\u003cbr\u003e“Infinite Visions” (Lagos, Nigeria 2025) \r\u003cbr\u003e“Art Unplugged, Awaken your Creativity” (The Gallery George, Vancouver, BC, Canada, 2025). \r\u003cbr\u003eArt Vancouver Contemporary Art Fair (Vancouver, BC, Canada, May 2026)\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eSylvester's work is characterized by a rich colour palette, materiality, and the ability to convey deep emotions and narratives. Through textured figurative and abstract compositions, I create paintings that celebrate the relationships, traditions, and shared experiences that shape our understanding of ourselves and each other.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eDrawing inspiration from the women who have influenced my life and from the Nigerian ‘Aso Ebi’ tradition, I use colour saturation, texture, and form to tell stories of patience, resilience, belonging, and joy.
