I am an oil painter based in Toronto. After completing an MA in Painting at University of the Arts London in 2008 I further expanded on the body work I started there into what could be described as an obsession to portray public figures as animals that more accurately represent them. I began my progression with politicians and economists talking at World Economic Forums, leading up to the Royal Family and a career as a full time since 2014. My focus has shifted to painting icons from history, business, sports, music, and television but my compulsion to reinterpret people as animals making people laugh and think remains the same.
I paint icons from history, politics, business, sports, music, and movies as animals that summarize their character making people laugh and think.
