ARTIST’S STATEMENT
The process of creating my work is an organic one. The history and time of the creation of each art piece are crucial to me, and I keep the impulse of the emergence of an idea till the last brush stroke. My paintings seek to capture a fleeting moment or emotion while celebrating the joy of making.
Whether making a painting or drawing, I allow the elements I create to ‘appear’ on the surface of the canvas or paper.
My approach is mainly intuitive; the paintings unfold and develop almost of their own accord, and I aim to invite the viewer to find an emotional connection within the painting.

This painting exudes a sense of warmth and happiness. The bright, optimistic colors create a cheerful atmosphere reminiscent of a summer day spent by the water with loved ones. The loose brushstrokes add to the painting's sense of freedom and spontaneity, suggesting that capturing the spirit of the moment is more interesting than achieving photorealism.
The small boat in the painting stands out as a focal point, drawing the viewer's attention. However, the image of this boat is surrounded by bigger and bigger ships, which suggests that the happy summer time of kids, with fishing time with grandad and vacation time with the whole family, is just a tiny part of a much larger world. This hints at the idea of continuity between generations, where the past, present, and future all interconnect and influence one another.
The overall effect of this painting is one of nostalgia and joy, as it evokes memories of childhood summer vacations spent with family and grandparents. In addition, the image of the boat in the middle of a larger world is a powerful reminder of the importance of family and tradition and how these things can provide stability and continuity throughout our lives. Original oil painting.

This painting is a combination of bright, optimistic colors and dynamic composition to convey a sense of joy and cheerfulness, maybe because it was painted in the middle of summer, in the hottest days of July, when the sun is so generous and endless.
It is a visual feast for the eyes! In addition, the combination of colors is carefully balanced to create a harmonious whole. The composition is also noteworthy, focusing on joyful and cheerful shapes and lines that seem to dance across the canvas.
Despite the semi-abstract nature of the painting, there are still hints of recognizable elements that anchor us in the world of the picture. These details are carefully chosen and strategically placed, drawing our eye and creating a sense of depth and complexity within the painting. Us is invited to follow the lines and shapes of the image and explore its many layers allowing our eye to travel across the canvas and discover new elements with each viewing. The close attention to detail is balanced by a sense of fluidity and movement central to the painting's overall effect.

I continue a series of paintings about lotus and lotus leaves. In this painting, "Enchanting Lotus: Perspectives Unveiled 3", I continue to use non-real colors and try to balance the fantastical and the recognizable; it reminds us that art has the power to transcend the boundaries of convention. This painting is a refreshing testimony to the magic of artistic expression, where imagination and skill converge to create a balanced composition. The vivid "Enchanting Lotus: Perspectives Unveiled 3" draws us into a joyful state, inviting us to partake in a whimsical celebration of nature's beauty. The canvas has an ineffable charm that lingers long after the initial encounter.

It is the second painting of my new series, "Enchanting Lotus: Perspectives Unveiled," where the lotus leaves take on an otherworldly allure, transporting us into a realm of dreams and fantasies. The painting reflects a fascination with this emblem of resilience and transformation. I chose non-real, fantasy colors; I try to transport us to a world where the lotus leaves, typically found in nature's subdued greens, now come alive in an exuberant display of reds and pinks...
