My wife and I moved here recently from South America.  I took up pastels and drawing about 7 years ago while living in Ecuador. I have no formal training but I have learned from watching YouTube and other websites and a few books.  My wife is also an artist and even though she paints in oils, I have learned a lot from her as well.  I enjoy painting landscapes and portraits.  I would describe my work as painterly leaning toward realism though some of my work is closer to impressionism.
