Raised across Harbin, Singapore, China, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates, her cross-cultural upbringing deeply shapes her artistic lens. Over the past decade, Jing has dedicated herself to extensive independent museum and art history research globally, integrating rich historical perspectives into her practice.\r
Her practice encompasses oil, acrylic, mixed media, and interactive installation, bridging Eastern metaphysics and Western depth psychology. Notably, her ongoing plein-air project, City Postcards (2016–present), explores spontaneity, slow art, and physical human connection as an antidote to digital acceleration. Beyond her studio work, Jing actively engages in community art therapy, eco-friendly upcycling workshops, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, including artist-edition apparel with Mutu Snowboard and custom designs with Vancouver swimwear brand Loope.\r
Selected Exhibitions:\r
* 2025 The Inner Cosmos (Solo Exhibition), Look Look Gallery, Paris, France\r
* 2025 Group Exhibition, Galerie L'Esprit d'Escalier, Paris, France\r
* 2023 Début (Solo Exhibition), Galerie Looloolook, Paris, France\r
* 2023 Les Jeux Artistiques, Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, France\r
* d'Escalier (7-17 December)\r
2026                   HARMONIAGROUND  \r
Fontenay-sous-Bois France      April         7th-18th \r
2026 Lausanne 3f International Art Fair May

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My artistic practice is an exploration of the subconscious, guided by the synthesis of Eastern I Ching (Book of Changes) philosophy and Carl Jung’s concept of the collective unconscious as illuminated in The Red Book. For me, the canvas acts as a meditative space where I strip away social identities and psychological armor to reveal unfiltered intuition and raw emotion.\r
In my ongoing series, The Inner Cosmos, recurring motifs such as sea creatures, aquatic life, and floating bubbles serve as conduits to the collective unconscious and instruments of self-healing. Informed by the Five Elements (Wuxing) system in my personal Bazi (Yin Metal), where water is intrinsically missing, painting fluid bodies of water functions as a visual ritual to restore inner energetic balance. I often experience painting as a prophetic practice—where scenes, tensions, and emotional awakenings captured intuitively on canvas predate real-life encounters and transformational moments.\r
Through recurring themes like re-enacting dreams (Dream Re-enactment) and interactive spatial installations, I invite viewers to reflect on causality, synchronicity, and shared human experience. Ultimately, painting is my medium for understanding the natural rhythms of timing, action, and stillness, guiding both myself and the viewer toward a deeper engagement with the mysteries of existence.
