Drawing on a background in Surface Design and over a decade of experience in art licensing, Annie-Pei brings a refined sense of form, colour, and composition to her abstract geometric paintings. Her work is known for its bold simplicity, architectural influence, and the way it invites quiet contemplation.\r
\r
Born in Taiwan and now based in British Columbia, Annie-Pei's creative practice is deeply shaped by her bicultural perspective and her early training in graphic design. Before turning her focus to fine art, she built a successful career under the studio name Lemonni, collaborating with international clients such as Crate & Barrel, Baby Mori, LG, and Hobby Lobby. Her illustrations and patterns have appeared on everything from home decor and packaging to children’s products and textiles.\r
\r
Annie-Pei’s paintings are a continuation of her design sensibility, balancing precise structure with emotional resonance. Recent series draw inspiration from urban landscapes, everyday objects, and architectural features, particularly those connected to her personal heritage. Through colour, rhythm, and form, she builds visual narratives that are both deeply personal and inviting.\r
\r
Annie-Pei's work has been shown in local exhibitions in British Columbia and is held in private collections internationally. As she continues to expand her fine art practice, she brings the same clarity, intention, and craftsmanship that have long defined her creative career.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My work is rooted in my cultural heritage, a lifelong love for vivid colour, and an intuitive approach to art-making. Without formal art training, I approach my canvas freely, unbound by traditional rules and guided by play, curiosity, and discovery.\r
\r
Drawing inspiration from nature, animals, and my background in graphic and surface design, I use abstract forms and bold compositions to create thoughtful layers within each piece. For me, art is an invitation to pause, explore colour and shape, and reconnect with a sense of warmth and wonder.
