Born in St. Catharines, Ontario, kk elliott (Krys) studied design principles at Niagara College in the 1970's and graduated from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in the eighties, with a degree in Fine Art and a diploma in Design.
After graduating, Krys was employed as the Gallery Director for Galerie Machan in St. Catharines, Ontario, and later joined her husband as a Certified Picture Framer at their business called The Framer's Workshop. The store evolved into the award winning decorative accessory / home decor store, Elliott & Company.
Since 2010, Krys has worked full-time on her art out of the studio she and her husband designed and built in St. Catharines She is a former director of Niagara Artist's Centre and has exhibited throughout Canada, receiving a number of awards and grants. Her work can be found in many private and corporate collections.
