When Dana is not commissioning a beautiful custom piece for a client or precariously positioned on a ladder painting a mural, you can find her in and around Vancouver and Port Moody with her husband Jeremy, her talkative 5 year old son Evan and Cocanut, a pugalier with a terrible underbite.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eARTIST’S STATEMENT\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eDana Mooney is a Vancouver-based artist whose practice is rooted in an ongoing exploration of self-expression through painting. A deeply creative soul, she has always been drawn to making, exploring, and finding meaning through visual language. Painting has become both an anchor and an outlet; a place where she can slow down, reflect, and step outside the noise of everyday life.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eWorking across both fine art and larger-scale pieces, Dana’s work is guided by an intuitive approach to colour, composition, and movement. Her paintings often draw subtle influence from the West Coast landscape, while remaining grounded in emotion and abstraction. Each piece becomes an exploration of mood and memory, where layered colours and forms invite a sense of calm and openness, married with joyful outbursts. \r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eFor Dana, the act of painting is as important as the finished work.
