Hardy Rettig is a Chicago-based photographer. He utilizes the world around us in his art to capture fleeting yet sincere moments. In his spare time, he collects comics, plays guitar, and talks about how much his knees hurt from skateboarding.

My work encompasses the strange beauty in everyday life. I strive to portray the subjects I encounter in a way that leaves people looking at what’s around them from a different viewpoint. Being present and mindful is key to my process and what I hope to convey in every photograph.
