His photography has been seen in over 138 countries garnering coverage in The New York Times, USA Today and Time Out NY. Illustrations he created for the rock band O.A.R. were exhibited at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio and album covers designed for the band reached RIAA gold certification.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eARTIST’S STATEMENT\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eI create large scale limited prints of nature and seasonal harvests from the Catskills region using high-resolution flatbed scanners. Working directly with a flat-field lens maintains a uniform reproduction of the subject and at magnification, when shown as a 40 x 40 inch framed giclée print, makes the work, both highly detailed and physically immersive.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eA cluster of mushrooms, a sunflower, or a lichen covered birch branch, captured at a precise moment along its cycle of growth and decay, becomes both a record of a moment in time and a proxy for its passing.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eThe project is inspired by the reality that only a small percentage of land ecosystems on the planet remain largely untouched. My property in Catskill State Park sits among protected forever wild land, where old growth forests with minimal human intervention have persisted for centuries sustained by millennia of ice melt that nourishes an extraordinary range of life.
