Based on the San Francisco Peninsula in Half Moon Bay, California, Phlipot draws ongoing inspiration from Northern California’s coastline and agricultural richness, creating fine art prints held in private, commercial, and wellness-focused collections.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch4\u003eARTIST’S STATEMENT\u003c\/h4\u003e\u003cp\u003eMy work explores the vivid color, intricate structure, and quiet complexity of the natural world through fine art photography. I am drawn to the forms we grow, gather, and encounter every day, whether cultivating studio still lifes of fruit, seeds, and botanicals, or stepping directly out into nature to capture plants, landscapes, and wild organic subjects. Years spent observing and working closely with cycles of growth and harvest taught me to see these objects and environments not simply for their function, but for their geometry, texture, pattern, and remarkable individuality.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eWhether composing in a studio setting or working outdoors in natural light, I isolate and arrange these forms using perspective, framing, and light to reveal their strongest visual qualities. A familiar subject becomes sculptural and wild detail reveal unexpected fields of rhythm, color, and texture. Light is central to this process; I use both controlled illumination and natural sun to highlight qualities that might otherwise go unnoticed, such as translucency, saturation, and repetition. My intention is not merely to document a subject, but to heighten its presence and invite the viewer to look again at something they believe they already know.\r\u003cbr\u003e\r\u003cbr\u003eThis work is deeply rooted in biophilia: our innate human connection to the living world. Produce, botanicals, and natural environments embody that relationship immediately, speaking to growth, seasonality, resilience, and abundance.
