What started as an unexpected change in direction became an important part of my artistic identity. After creating realism for a long time, I found myself struggling to create and questioning my ability as an artist.\r\u003cbr\u003eRather than giving up, I allowed myself to create differently.\r\u003cbr\u003eI began using colored pencils to explore layers, shapes, textures, and color without always knowing what the finished piece would become. Abstraction gave me the freedom to create from emotion rather than simply from observation.\r\u003cbr\u003eMy work explores the emotions that often exist beneath the surface—uncertainty, vulnerability, hope, healing, and the quiet moments of becoming. I want my artwork to leave space for each viewer to find their own meaning within it.\r\u003cbr\u003eFor me, abstraction became more than a change in artistic style.
