There is something that has always moved quietly here, beneath the surface of the ordinary. I hand-treated each photograph with acrylic medium and gold before collaging them together to honour what moves between people when no one is watching. A confluence is where two currents meet — not by accident, but because the land itself has always been drawing them toward each other. The forces working to keep them apart are visible and loud. What works to bring them together is subtler, older, running underneath everything like water through limestone — unhurried, inevitable.
