The buildings are featured in a linear format, in abstracted, colorful forms, and surrounded by a changing cloudy sky. This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by San Francisco Chronicle Urban Critic - John King, whom I've admired for his writings and photography, and mutual liking of the city's iconic architecture. I was delighted he offered permission to paint it back in 2013 as reference imagery for this piece.
