But in my piece, I sought to capture the raw, fleshy aspect of emotional release—the tension between holding on and the painful beauty of surrender. 'Letting Go' became a manifestation of the hardship and agony that love and attachment bring. In its vulnerability and fragility, my work speaks to the delicate heart exposed in moments of emotional unraveling, where the act of letting go is both an aching loss and a quiet form of healing. But ultimately, it is about breaking free—no longer bound by attachment, no longer caught in the cycle of caring in the same way. It’s the quiet strength of cutting ties with the trauma bond, of snipping oneself free from the past, and choosing to live without the weight of that ache.
