The old Toronto streetcar from the 1930s was a symbol of a bygone era, captured in a black and white photograph hanging in the subway station. It reminds me of a simpler time when public transportation relied on trolleys and streetcars to move people around the city. Looking at the photo at Dufferin Station and celebration of 100 years of TTC inspired me to do this watercolor painting.
