The adventures of Amundsen captured my desire to visit both places one day. I visited the replica of Amundsen's boat FRAM in Norway. I have never even been close to the Antarctic but closer to the Arctic. I have come as far north as Iceland several times. This is where I saw the book \"Faces of the North by Ragnar Axelsson for the first time. When he published his new book \"Arctic Heroes\" I pre-ordered it right away. Absolutely fascinating how RAX tells the story about Greenlandic dogs saving the hunters’ lives often from bad conditions.
