It was during the first winter of COVID and I was going a little stir crazy so I thought I'd try something new. Turned out to be a great experience and I did a few more over the course of that winter.

This piece was painted en plein air just after dinner one night. I was enjoying the patterns of the wheat field but by the time I was half way through it was the patterns of the leaves and trees that was equally intriquing.

I've been getting out more to paint en Plein Aire. My friend has a wonderful property with a large pond and I painted this while the sun was illuminating the reeds on the other side on a peaceful summer evening.

I had no sooner set my easel up just beyond the 'no fishing' sign when this fellow showed up - so I incorporated him into my painting. I was at Mary Lake in King Township north of Toronto.

Another piece in my Paris Series. I love everything about Paris. The people are so stylish and the street life is so vibrant. I fell in love with this wonderful blue door and waited for someone interesting to walk out of it.

I fell in love with Manitoulin Island in Ontario’s North. This was a little local community hall with a wonderful meadow of wildflowers for a front yard.
