The planting together of these three was very powerful as the corn stalk would hold the vine of the bean. The squash plant would spread over the soil to protect it from overheating and prevent weeds from growing. In my interpretation, I used women since women are the birth givers and the fruitful "soil" for human beings. They are adorned with indigenous attire inspired by my Mexican culture where much of the clothes is hadn embroidered. They clothing also represents a very important role as women. One woman is pregnant, representing the birth that is constantly happening on the Earth. The roots at the bottom represent the harmony and unity between the three women and the three sister plants.
