Anna Mikhailov was born in Ottawa on February 23, 2005. She is an emerging young Canadian artist with a passion for visual arts. Currently studying at University of Ottawa, as an undergraduate for the Bachelor of Fine Arts. At just 18 years of age, Anna has already established herself as a talented and versatile artist, whose artworks demonstrate a maturity and refinement beyond her years.
Anna's artworks have been displayed at several prestigious locations, including the Ottawa Downtown Parliament, Royal Canadian Legion, the Canadian War Museum displaying for 10 years. She has also designed Christmas card designs that have been distributed throughout Ottawa for consecutive years by Jim Watson, the Mayor of Ottawa. Additionally, Anna has designed two panel recruitment signs for Canadian Sea Cadets on the property of Her Majesty's Canadian Ship Carleton, which is located on Prince of Wales Dr, Ottawa. Furthermore, Anna has had several artwork commissions from Myers Automotive Group and her middle school and high school.

Anna can work in various different media such as, stained glass, marble carving, sculpting, printmaking, digital drawing, glass blowing, sandblasting, soft sculpting, sewing, metal working, wood working, working with ceramics, soft pastels, watercolour, oil, acrylic, inks, charcoal, coloured pencils and graphite pencils.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Despite Anna’s young age, she has already gained considerable experience in the fine arts and is committed to pursuing her passion for visual art for the next 70-80 years of her life, until she is unable to move her hand across a canvas. With her exceptional talent and dedication, Anna is poised to make a significant contribution to the Canadian art scene in the years to come.
