My objective in art is to bring a space for contemplation. The point is for people to look at my paintings and help them drift off into their own thoughts and emotions with my use of colors and textures, just like you would when sitting in nature.

This painting is part of a collection dedicated to weed plants, aiming to raise awareness about the importance and beauty of these small, wild flowers. For instance, the featured weed, Viper's Bugloss, is native to Europe and provides pollen to a variety of insects, many of which are depicted in the painting. This flower is a favorite of honey bees and also supports butterflies, skippers, moths, and ladybugs. Weeds like this are crucial for pollinators.
Though Viper's Bugloss is mostly toxic to humans when touched, it contains medicinal properties, and its flowers are edible.
I hope this painting has sparked a greater interest and appreciation for these small yet significant species.
