Exposed to arts from various sources, Zara's art draws from the European masters to traditional as well as pre-Islamic art to east Asian and East African art.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I draw exclusively in black & white. I find, the shimmer, shine and sparkle - the dinoflagellate in a black sea - the noctiluca, the glow of fireflies in dark forests, and the brightness of the evening star, Zara.
