Abe Reynosa-Soto

Mexican Architect with extensive experience on interior renovations to commercial buildings back home, turned to visual artist whose passion for form and color has driven his exploration of contemporary art.
His work combines wood and color to create geometric compositions that blur the boundaries between sculpture and painting and creating a sense of depth and a dynamic interplay of light and shadow.
This process transforms simple materials into immersive, three-dimensional artworks that invite viewers to experience depth and perspective in a tactile way.
Although new to the art world, Abe brings a strong design sensibility from his architectural background, infusing his creations with precision, structure, and creativity.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I've always had a knack for drawing, sketching, and crafts; perhaps that was one of the reasons I gravitated toward architecture, which I left behind when I emigrated to Canada. I have no talent for sculpture or painting, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a personalized kind of art focused on form and color. A friend of my parents was an artist—a painter—and they still have some of his work at home. He used to say that ‘art is about finding something that didn't exist before and making it your own’
