I am a Toronto-based contemporary artist, working predominantly with markers and watercolor and also mixed media at times. Though I was fond of drawing and painting at a very young age, I gave up her art dream to pursue science. A couple years ago when I was doing all the fancy scientific research in a lab, I realized that a part of my life was missing. That I when she picked up art again. Drawing, sketching and painting are my oxygen. Creating art has brought peace, joy and healing to my life.
In my work, I express my love for the beauty of nature, animals, cityscapes and ladies. My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the people and the world around them, to discover beauty in unusual places. I use traditional materials, watercolor and marker on paper, to capture moment and life, making the brush dance and the marker sing. Everything is capture in the spontaneous dance and movement of the brush and marker as they meet the paper. There is no going back and correcting when painting with watercolor and marker on paper.
