ARTIST’S STATEMENT

My work explores emotion, nostalgia, and identity through visual narratives centered on grief and healing. I mainly focus on emotional realism by expressing what experiences feel like through creating a visual depiction.

Majority of the figures I paint appear distorted or fragmented which is a representation of tension and psychological complexity. Emotions that are difficult to verbalize are recurring frameworks in my pieces as they examine the space between presence and vulnerability.

Color functions as an expressive language rather than decoration causing it to shape moods and communicating what words cannot. Influenced by my background in psychology, I view art as both a communicative act and a plethora of passion projects. Ultimately, my practice seeks to give visibility to internal experiences and invite the audience into spaces of connection.
