Barb TenEycke
Born in Toronto, and currently living and working from her home in Oakville, Barb TenEycke is a self-taught painter with a reverence for the diverse landscape of Ontario. A full time artist since 2013, she has exhibited in numerous shows, highlights being the Artist Project, The One of a Kind Show, and McMichael Gallery Autumn Art Sale in Kleinburg. She is fascinated by lighting and atmosphere, and her work is said to invoke feelings of serenity.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
'I focus on creating works that convey calm, excitement, or stir emotion. Through the infusion of light, saturation/desaturation of colour, I produce landscapes, both real and imagined, that are hopefully infused with ethereal light, depth and hope.'
