Beyti Barbaros
Born in 1977 in Turkey, I have spent most of my life in the vibrant city of Izmir, nestled along the shores of the Aegean Sea. Known as the "California of Turkey," Izmir has been a source of inspiration and beauty throughout my upbringing. In 2007, I embarked on a new chapter of my life by relocating to the United States.
I consider myself a Philocalist, a lover of beauty, and I am fortunate to reside near one of the most captivating cities in the world—New York City. Revered as "The Center of The Universe" by millions, New York City has captured my heart like no other place. My love for this metropolis, combined with my unique photography skills, has ignited a magical journey.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I firmly believe that when you wholeheartedly love something, there are no limits to what you can learn. Over the past decade, I have honed my photography skills through self-teaching and exploration. My approach to photography is unconventional, characterized by an out-of-the-box perspective that captures the essence of New York City in ways never seen before.
While iconic landmarks and bustling streets are frequently photographed, my distinct viewpoint and editing style breathe new life into familiar scenes. Each of my photographic artworks offers a fresh and captivating interpretation of New York City, unlike anything you've experienced from other photographers.
