ARTIST’S STATEMENT
See the happy.
A dog, some paint, and strong connections - three of my must-haves.
My work explores happiness. For me, dogs have always invoked instantaneous joy just by simply being. So, mostly, I paint them. I paint them for the people who love them and for those who don’t know they do yet.
My art’s purpose is to connect you with the being(s) on the canvas. Colour and playful compositions capture each subject’s unique energy while the range of brushstrokes narrate distinct personalities. And the eyes… those soulful eyes. They reveal all and give one a sense of familiarity, even if you’ve never met.
My mission is to spread love by surrounding people with paintings of joy, whether it be one of the comfortable old pooch or of the comfortable old couch.
Attaining happiness is a global pursuit and I am doing just that; one (dog) painting at a time.
