Cecilia Chan

Home All

Cecilia Chan migrated to Toronto from Hong Kong at the age of twelve with her family. She has always had a passion for visual arts and holds a degree in Architectural Science from Ryerson University. However, it wasn't until she was encouraged by a counselor to take up a hobby to help her deal with depression that she began her art career. She started painting and was encouraged to sell her work. After receiving multiple requests for commissioned paintings, she realized that her hobby had become her career. In recent times, she has participated in several juried art shows, studio tours, and other exhibitions. As of 2023, she has restarted en plein-air and enjoys painting with other artists who share her interests. Additionally, she has been accepted into an art residency program at Château Bouthonvillier in France. Cecilia sees herself as an impressionist and plans to continue honing her skills in oil painting.
