Celeste Christie
Celeste Christie is a Canadian visual artist specializing in acrylic and digital abstract photography. With a professional background in Interior Design, she brings a distinctive perspective to her practice—merging architectural structure with organic landscapes to create bold compositions that explore the intersection of form, colour, and nature.
Her work is inspired by the environments she knows intimately: the rugged Canadian Rockies, the expansive Manitoba prairies, and the serene shores of Lake of the Woods. Celeste’s pieces reflect a deep connection to place, combining rich colour contrasts and geometric forms to evoke landscapes that feel both grounded and abstract. Her artwork has been collected across Canada and showcased in restaurants, hotels, cafés, real estate showhomes, temporary exhibitions, and private collections around the world. While primarily focused on developing her own creative vision, Celeste occasionally takes on commissions when a concept aligns with her artistic direction and allows her to bring a client’s vision to life through her unique lens
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My work is a visual response to the landscapes I move through—vast skies, layered fields, glacial lakes, and the quiet geometry of trees and shoreline. Using a mix of traditional and contemporary mediums, I aim to capture a sense of space and emotion through colour, shape, and abstraction.
Rooted in both design and observation, my process blends structure with spontaneity. I’m drawn to contrast—between natural elements and hard edges, between openness and containment—and strive to create compositions that hold both tension and balance. Each piece is an invitation to pause and reflect, offering a moment of stillness and connection within the surrounding environment.
