He is particularly drawn to the interplay of glass and crystal, captivated by the way light refracts and the intricate shadows they cast. Bold, vibrant colours are a signature of his work - bringing him joy and resonating with viewers, making his paintings instantly recognizable.
Dave’s work has been featured in art shows from Vancouver to the Ottawa Valley, he has been showcased on Vancouver radio, and his work has been on television across Canada. A proud member of the Veterans Artist Collective, he finds solace in painting the humble beauty of still life - glass, crystal, plants and flowers where light and shadow create depth and meaning. This artistic focus stands in stark contrast to Dave’s intense military background, offering a sense of calm and intention in every brushstroke.

There was never a time when I realized that I wanted to be an artist, it always was meant to be, right from a young age. As a still life artist, I paint what I see, and have the goal of leaving behind a legacy. When I am an old man, someone take a photograph of me surrounded by my paintings.
