ARTIST’S STATEMENT

I build my paintings step by step, adding layers of color and marks until the surface starts to come alive. I don’t plan everything in advance—there’s a mix of control and instinct in how each piece develops.
I’m interested in creating work that feels engaging over time, where you notice something new the longer you look at it. At the same time, I want the painting to sit comfortably in a space and bring a sense of energy and balance.
