Heidi Abramson

Three years ago, I picked up a brush with no formal training, only an intuitive pull toward color, texture, and expression. My work emerges through a layered, responsive process: marks build into texture, texture into memory and emotion. I approach abstraction not as a fixed destination, but as a space for discovery.
For more than 25 years, I have worked as a real estate broker and small business owner in the East Bay, building a practice rooted in people, place, and community.
This exhibition is an extension of that same commitment — bringing art into a shared space that invites dialogue, reflection, and connection
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
My paintings are driven by movement and intuition, color scraped, layered, and pulled until it sparks energy and transformation. Each piece begins as an impulse and becomes a catalyst for emotion, inviting the viewer to feel the rhythm of change.
I work primarily with acrylic on canvas, using trowels and homemade tools to push, pull, and scrape the paint into life.
