Jacki Higenbottam
Jacki is a self taught abstract artist who has been painting for almost three years. Her journey into this newly found passion came with the passing of her father in 2020. It was through the exploration of abstract art she was able to release some intense emotions and create a storey on canvas.
Jacki paints daily, and has a passion for abstract, textured art and contemporary minimalism.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I am an abstract artist in Niagara-On-The-Lake capturing emotions with the use of acrylics and textures such as sand.
My intent with my abstract and textured art is to captivate my audience and allow them to escape reality and go to a place a freedom and calmness.
My colour palette is calm and subdued, and my markings can be the same as well as vivid, intense and quite emotional.
I want my viewer to feel connected deeply to my paintings.
