Joshua “Diggy” Diggs is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and creative from the DMV area whose work explores emotion, identity, healing, faith, and the beauty of Black culture. Through painting and storytelling, Diggy creates pieces that feel both deeply personal and universally human—blending bold visuals with themes of resilience, love, struggle, and spiritual growth.

Inspired by music, life experiences, nostalgia, and everyday human connection, his work often reflects the emotional layers behind strength, vulnerability, and self-discovery. Whether through large-scale acrylic paintings, poetry, or visual storytelling, Diggy’s goal is to create art that makes people feel seen, understood, and inspired to keep going.

My work explores emotion, healing, faith, identity, and the beauty found within everyday life and human connection. Through bold imagery, storytelling, and expressive portraiture, I aim to create pieces that feel honest, soulful, and emotionally familiar—art that allows people to feel seen, understood, and connected to something deeper within themselves.

Much of my inspiration comes from personal experiences, music, Black culture, nostalgia, and the emotional weight people carry silently every day. Whether through painting, writing, or visual storytelling, my goal is to create work that sparks reflection, conversation, comfort, and hope.
