I was born and raised in New York City. Received a BFA and MA in Painting from Hunter College, where I studied with Robert Swain, Sandy Wurmfeld, and Doug Ohlson. I attended the High School of Music & Art, now LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts. In addition to an early career as an exhibiting artist, I taught art and painting at all levels; including as an adjunct professor at Mercy College; and Bedford Hills Correctional Facility’s College Program under the auspices of Marymount Manhattan College.

I am an abstract painter exploring color interactions, spatial relationships and movement through the use of squares in various sizes and positions.
