Judy Goddard

Judy Goddard has learned to pull joy out of life and onto the
canvas! That magic transfers from her thoughts and inner
conversations on to every piece of art she creates. Judy knows
that, "The world is full of magic!" From a tiny caterpillar to a
shooting star, everything holds a little bit of magic just waiting for
the world to find it! The joy that inhabits her soul is contagious and
definitely comes through in her paintings. Sharing that joy with
others is her life and breath. Working as an oil painter, she takes
the lessons in "Old Master" techniques and uses them to revel in
rich hues and the depth of expression that have floated in her head all her life. "People tell me they love it, it brings a wonderful smile to every face.".
Judy's studio, a cabin in the woods, is situated on the upper Toms
River. The beauty of the location is a balm to her spirit. "How
could I not be inspired by what I see around me?"
Dedicated to her ideal, she is a serious painter devoting herself to a full time schedule. Into each painting she hides a little secret, a little reason to make people smile. She loves playing with words and concepts that she can add into her artwork. "It's a kind of game; what little hidden messages can I guide them toward?” Customers are collecting a little piece of her joy with every painting they purchase. Her professionalism shows in her attention to details. Her bold choice of subjects, the way she handles her process means that her art will only gain value in the future.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
The Essence of My Art; The Magic in the Joy of the Journey.
There is joy to be found in life, at every turn of every corner. Even in the depths of discouragement and sorrow, joy can be found, if you look for it. My art is a revelation of this truth.
It’s the dialog between Creator and creator.
The joy in my life is in knowing that I have overcome trauma and can stand in the joy of living a fulfilling life. Joy is something I carry with me.
I cannot leave it home even if I want to!
Sparking joy in others is what my art is all about.
