Julia Tahnee Oscarson is an abstract artist exploring movement, emotion, and the subtle rhythms of the natural world. She discovered a passion for painting early and later studied Fine Arts at the Victoria College of Art.
Her intuitive practice allows abstraction to emerge through layered mark-making, texture, and fluid transitions of color and light. Influenced by travels across Europe and Southeast Asia, her work reflects sensitivity to place, atmosphere, and shifting states of perception.
While primarily abstract, Oscarson’s current series focuses on fish, using their forms suggestively to symbolize flow, freedom, and transformation.
