Kaiser Kamal is a Queens‑based visual artist, curator, and cultural organizer whose practice bridges abstraction, migration narratives, and community‑centered public art. Born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and trained as an MFA painter at the University of Dhaka, Kamal builds a multidisciplinary language that intertwines the emotional, architectural, and historical textures of Dhaka and New York City. His paintings and mixed‑media works trace memory, displacement, and the evolving landscapes of diasporic identity.

Kamal has presented 10 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 150 group shows across Asia, Europe, and the United States, establishing him as a leading voice in shaping platforms for Bangladeshi artists in New York City. His public art projects—most notably the widely recognized LIC is a Galaxy installation—demonstrate his commitment to accessible, participatory, community‑rooted creative spaces.

My work moves between abstraction, memory, and the shifting geographies of Dhaka and Queens. I explore how diasporic identity is shaped by movement—how fragments of architecture, color, and emotion become markers of belonging. Through painting, mixed media, and installation, I build layered surfaces that hold the residue of migration and the quiet stories carried across borders.
One that amplifies immigrant voices and preserves shared memory. My work seeks connection, holding space for histories that continue to evolve.
