Katie is an Oregon-based artist creating modern digital landscape and abstract art inspired by the Pacific Northwest coastline. She works intuitively, building scenes through experimentation and repetition, allowing color and shape to guide each piece. I’m inspired by the coastal community I live in and the views I see every day. What excites me most is translating those familiar places into bold, joyful color. By combining landscape and abstraction, I get to share how this coastline feels to me rather than how it looks. Making this work is a way of celebrating place, color, and the happiness I find in both.
