This work was inspired by the multitude of other famous photos of the Bow Bridge in Central Park, though almost all of those were done in winter, and usually include the buildings of Central Park South in the background. But because it was spring, the vegetation totally obscured everything behind the bridge and even some of the bridge itself, leaving however great reflections in the pond the bridge crosses.
